Founder of Northeast Behavioral Associates, Dr. Patch holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, a master of arts degree from the University of the Pacific, and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Vermont. He is also board certified in behavior analysis. He has provided behavioral treatment to children and adults for the last fifteen years, helping them identify unhealthy and counterproductive behaviors and replace them with healthy, functional ones. He is the president and executive director of Northeast Behavioral Associates as well as a psychologist in private practice.

Kimberly Balser has been working with children and families in the mental health field for 10 years. Her work experience includes working with children in the Kansas foster care system, and trauma victims. She graduated with her Master's in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2002 and recently relocated to Rhode Island. She is a licensed independent clinical social worker and is currently working towards certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis to work with individuals with autism.

Joyce Brown began her time at NBA as a direct service worker and later became office manager where she fulfill many vital behind-the-scenes function that make it possible for our treatment staff to devote their attention to serving their clientele. Joyce has over seven years of experience working with children in various behavioral settings. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and makes herself available to all of our Spanish speaking families for translating purposes.

Mylene Cox has an extensive background working with children. She started working as a care counselor at the age of 17. She is currently working towards a certification in Special Education and her experience at Northeast Behavioral Associates has opened a new world of opportunities. She would like to pursue a career as an O.T.

Amy Lagasse, LCSW has worked in the behavioral health field for nine years and serves children, adolescent and adult populations. Amy has experience in many aspects of mental and behavioral health treatment including individual and group counseling, addictions treatment, early intervention and home-based treatment services. Amy is currently enrolled in Applied Behavioral Analysis post-graduate training to further advance her work with individuals with Autism.

Berina Mattos has been a consultant with Northeast for 7 years in the state of Massachusetts working with agencies such as DMH, DDS, and PI. Writing, teaching and implementing behavioral treatment plans. Prior to coming on board Berina was an individual therapist working with children, teens, and adults doing short term therapy focusing on cognitive behavioral stratagies. Prior to that Berina worked for the Department of Developmental Services as there behavioral specialist. Over the past eight years, Nicole has worked in various settings with children exhibiting behavioral, emotional, social, and communication and developmental deficits. For the first five years, Nicole worked in a psychiatric facility on a developmental disability in-patient unit leading groups and assisting with daily living activities with children in the residential hospital. Over the past three years, Nicole has worked for Developmental Intervention Specialists implementing Verbal Behavior programs and school shadowing children with Autism, Developmental Delays and other related disabilities and their families. Nicole has studied under Dr. Jose Martinez, and completed her Behavior Analysis course series. In August 2008, she became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Nicole graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2003 and received a Masters in Counseling at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
